An idea was born.

 

We’ve been there, we know how it feels.  The pain you go through when you don’t hear back from the hundreds of applications you’ve sent and you are about to give up. We were once in your shoes and walked the same path of rejections.

We have been given a chance to make our dreams come true, so we want to help you do the same and unlock your potential. Our founder, Damir Boshnjak started as a valet driver, to become a Hotel General Manager within years and the youngest person on the cover of “Hotelier Middle East” magazine.

We have seen the other side of the coin, too. The time and effort we spent as employers to hire the ideal candidate was relentless and tiring. Hours and hours spent on the job portals searching, contacting and hunting for the diamond amongst stones. Going through the hundreds of resumes, screening candidates. All this prohibits us from doing what we do best – offering exceptional experiences to our guests!

This is where the idea of Dream Big Hospitality (DBH) was born. Dream Big because we aspire to source and create the next General Managers, not just another employee!

Damir Boshnjak — Executive Director & Hospitality Consultant

Damir started his hospitality career modestly, in a Motel along the highway, before moving to the USA as a Valet Attendant and Bellman where he truly fell in love with the industry. In the meantime, he held various hospitality positions in Europe.

He moved to the Middle East at the age of 25 and rose through the ranks from family-owned boutique hotels to luxury resorts in the Rooms Division to eventually become a Hotel General Manager and the youngest person on the cover of “Hotelier Middle East” magazine. 

During the course of his career, Damir was lucky enough to meet and work with great leaders who had taught him the fundamentals of hospitality management and inspired him to always look forward. On the other hand, he was responsible for creating many other leaders under his mentorship and guidance.

He felt that there is many of his co-workers and acquaintances who were struggling to grow in their careers or find the right match for their skills. That said, he himself and his Human Resources teams always found it hard to juggle between managing the business and the burden of sourcing and recruiting the right talents.

Subsequently, he came up with the idea of creating and co-founding “Dream Big Hospitality”, which aspires to help candidates make the best possible career choices and grow, as well as alleviate the stress of recruitment for the employers.

Elizabeta Boshnjak – Director of HR & Administration, and F&B Consultant

Elizabeta is a true example of a self-made woman! She worked her way through university in various Cafés and Restaurants in Europe, while studying to become a Master of Business Law. 

An all-rounder; expert in Food and Beverage, an Administrative guru, a Lawyer and a Mother – she’s got it all!

She started her Middle East career as a Waitress in a renowned brand to learn the ins and outs of Food and Beverage and grew within the department. As Administration is her other passion, she moved into the Human Resources and Administrative departments where she handled teams of 700+ employees.

Moreover, she was responsible for providing a proactive and supportive Human Resources service to all associates, upholding financial profitability and all Employee KPI’s of training, retention, recruitment and administering effective flow of documentation relating to associates. 

During her international experience, Elizabeta has had the pleasure to work with more than 80 different nationalities and cultures which made her an excellent communicator and more importantly a great listener.
